When did you start working for Roland DG?
My career at Roland started in February 2022, one week before LMT Lab Day Chicago. I was referred by Dwight Blair, who, although I never worked with him, we both worked at Glidewell Dental at different times. I read the job description, and after interviewing with Amado and the senior team, I knew I could contribute to the team and organization with my background.
What roles did you play?
As the Dental Business Manager, I manage the business side of the DGSHAPE team in the Americas. I work directly with the Product Manager, Marketing Manager, Sales Team, and Technical Support to maintain and grow the dental business. In the company’s first six months, I supported successful trade fairs such as LMT Lab Day (Chicago, West, and East), Hinman Convention. Supported Technical Dealer training in Atlanta, Irvine, and Mexico City for LAR, the relaunch of the DGSHAPE cloud, and our recent launch of the DWX-53DC.
Why do you like working in DGSHAPE?
DGSHAPE is a fun place to work. Sure we have challenges, like any other organization, but I like the highly knowledgeable and professional team that makes the magic happen every day. I am happy to say that this has been one of the most highly capable individuals I have had the pleasure and honor to lead.
Write a funny anecdote about yourself.
By chance or serendipity, before joining DGSHAPE, I once tried to become a Roland reseller; unfortunately, because where I worked could not hire the proper support, we did not become resellers.
Also, not only did I know the previous Dental Business Manager, but he and I worked together at Glidewell. I guess it is true what they say, “it is a small world” : -)
