DGSHAPE Releases a New Line of Milling Tools to Complement PMMA and Zirconia Production for DWX Dental Mills
Hamamatsu, Japan, August 4, 2021 － DGSHAPE Corporation, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Roland DG Corporation and a leading provider of digital fabrication tools worldwide, announced the release of its next generation of milling tools for use with the Removable Denture Kits (CA-DK1, CA-DK1-TR) and all DWX-52 Series Dental Mills.
The new 3.0mm Flat-End Chromium Nitride Coated Tool (ZRB-150D) is the latest addition to the Removable Denture Kit (CA-DK1), replacing the 2.0mm Flat-End Tool (ZRB-100D). With an additional 1.0mm of width, this new tool allows to produce full dentures and denture bases more efficiently, shortening milling times by thirty-to-ninety minutes. In addition, its high-tech blasted shank surface improves overall tool stability and performance.
DGSHAPE’s Ball-End Diamond-Like Carbon Coated Tools (ZPB Tools) are the newest milling tools available for DWX-52 Series and DWX-51D users. This comprehensive tool series includes a 2.0mm (ZPB-100D) tool, a 1.0mm (ZPB-50D) tool,and a 0.6mm (ZPB-30D) tool. Each tool features an extended length for applications requiring deep pocket milling. In addition, each tool has a DLC coating which increases its durability when milling PMMA or Zirconia materials. DWX users can expect an estimated lifespan of eighty milling hours when using ZPB Tools for PMMA based applications.

The ZPB Tools are each sold as individual accessories. Both ZPB and ZCB tools are sold separately from DGSHAPE’s Removable Denture Kit. The 2.0mm Flat-End Tool bundled with the Removable Denture Kit, will be replaced by the 3.0mm Flat-End Tool beginning August 1, 2021. The new tools are compatible with the latet MillBox and DGSHAPE Dental CAM softwares.
