DGSHAPE Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of Roland DG Corporation and a leading provider of digital fabrication tools worldwide, announced the release of the next generation of its digital denture workflows, the Removable Denture Kit 2<\/strong> (CA-DK2), for use with the DWX-52D, DWX-52DC, and DWX-52DCi dental mills.<\/p>

The new, state-of-the-art digital denture solution is compatible with both cold- and heat-cured resins, and combines the features of the Removable Denture Kit (CA-DK1) and Removable Denture Kit and Tray (CA-DK1-TR). Now, users have the choice of setting teeth prior to polymerization and milling the teeth and acrylic disc together or producing a denture base and setting carded teeth or milled PMMA teeth post-mill. In addition, the tray size has been expanded to a height of 35mm, silicone molds used with the tray to keep the shape of heat-cured acrylic, and a dedicated set of tools are included. \u00a0These improvements reduce manual labor requirements and overall denture production time while delivering an extremely accurate, low-cost, high-quality denture solution<\/strong>.<\/p>

\u201cThe Removable Denture Kit 2 improves upon the first kit by offering our users the option to use heat- or cold-cured resins. In addition, the new kit supports a larger tray, providing enough space to develop removable applications for patients with gingival structures of any size<\/strong>,\u201d said Hisashi Bito, DGSHAPE Corporation\u2019s President of Operations. \u201cAs the popularity of digital denture production continues to increase, DGSHAPE is dedicated to offering comprehensive, advanced solutions that make automated denture workflows more flexible, accurate, and economical than ever<\/strong>.\u201d<\/p>

The Removable Denture Kit 2 (CA-DK2) comes complete with a set of acrylic resin fixtures for making denture bases (CA-DK2-FX), a set of carded tooth trays to set carded teeth prior to polymerizing acrylic (CA-DK2-TR), two silicone molds for heat-cured acrylic processing, and a unique set of four milling burs. Each of the components are also sold separately<\/strong> and all are available globally. CA-DK2 is compatible with Denture Modules in 3Shape and exocad design software. Users will need DGSHAPE Dental CAM or MillBox to mill all denture applications on DWX devices.<\/p>

DK2-53 is the Denture Kit for the DWX-53DC, the latest DGSHAPE device<\/strong> which features strengthened rigidity and a newly designed spindle for high performance denture milling.<\/p>
